Villain tell

Shield them from what can’t be told

Their glittered eyes reflect my gold

Since long ago, I should have fled.

To shield them from what can’t be told.

From youth the game did thus unfold

A player plays what’s done and said

Their glittered eyes reflect my gold.

Within the heart hides stony cold

But hammered, chiselled warm instead

To shield them from what can’t be told.

The life that’s lived with breath on hold

For fear of fraud’s detection spread

Their glittered eyes reflect my gold.

And now the mirror’s eyes are old

The polished shine with tarnish wed

To shield them from what can’t be told.

A soul it withers when it’s sold

Decayed, devalued, debased lead

Their glittered eyes reflect my gold

To shield them from what can’t be told.
