Vibrations Through Bone and Thought ---a poem by Edina Jackson
I Can feel it in my bones
Vibrations Through Bone and Thought
A low thrumming starts deep within,
not a sound heard, but a feeling known.
It resonates in the marrow,
a subtle tremor in the skeletal frame.
Thoughts themselves take on this quality,
not smooth streams, but edged with a nervous energy.
Ideas flicker and jump,
propelled by an unseen current.
The world perceived is amplified,
sounds too sharp, lights too bright,
textures abrasive against the skin.
Each interaction carries a weight,
a potential for dissonance.
Sleep offers little respite,
the internal buzzing continuing
in the landscape of dreams,
a restless undercurrent.
This constant motion, this inner trembling,
shapes the way the world is seen,
colors slightly skewed,
perspectives angled by unease.
Yet, within this vibration, a strange clarity emerges.
A heightened sensitivity to the unspoken,
the subtle shifts in atmosphere.
An awareness of fragility, of the delicate balance
that holds things together.
The body a resonator, the mind an echo chamber,
both humming with a shared frequency.
A way of being, a lens on reality,
these vibrations through bone and thought.

I like the idea of resonance between mind and body— vibrations through thought AND bone. Compelling imagery.
