Distance isn't a remedy
but there's far too much complexity
She holds onto her enmity
incomprehensibly
Conversation brevity
as if we met accidentally
forced familiarity
and furthermore forced pleasantries
She shouldn't be my enemy
the mother of my melody
But that's the way it is.
Distance isn't a remedy.
Distance is a necessity
For maintenance of serenity
And what is her identity?
She chooses to exist separately.
Her daughter embraced me readily
Her son my only destiny
Does she act resentfully
Or solely out of jealousy?
My efforts run out endlessly
I'm done acting desperately
No one wrote a recipe
To change a lack of empathy
There is no special weaponry
And that's the way it is.
Distance is a necessity.
That's my only verity.
