Venomous Love

I wrote about releasing myself from restraints of toxic love after my last divorce.

In the mountains

I searched for you

While in my darkness

To find you laughing at me

Believing I'm filled with nonsense

You stomped on my heart

Like most who knew me

Yet I'm to love you

With no questions; for free

Now I've grown stronger

And realized you're false

Feeling not but pity

Toward your bitter mean heart

After all that has happened

I wish you no harm

I hope you find someone

To hold in your arms

It will not be me

I don't deserve pain

From your 'venomous love'

I have broken the chains
