Vanishing

The first steps you need to vanish:

*stop saying things you need to say

*chances are, they don't care anyway

*running your mouth, trying to relay

*hurt feelings from your last birthday

*run out, like the freshly fried chicken, at the all you can eat buffet

*comb over all your decisions, like a tired, worn out toupee

*disappear into the alley

*prowling like a cat, go out to play

*join a band or purchase an instrument, and dance off in a bold cabaret

*confess all your sins and then, run away

*when everybody begins to pray

*be sure to cut off all communication, like a pet that’s been responsibly spayed

*make a full list of dumb excuses that they can find later, that will explain

*that you were jonesing to get lost forever, and abandoned your slick hide-away

*grab a bag and hit the road running, on the nearest, carefree highway

*no need to fret or overthink it, sometimes life will provide a doorway

*a window or trap door to a secret passageway

*don't be shy or hesitate, cause your chance might not wait

*it's time to throw in the towel, you've been outlasted and outplayed

*get to gettin' on, you've more than overstayed your stay

*just disappear into the void, vanish and fade away
