Vanish Into The City
Instructions for reconnection — Blitz Poetry

∞
To melt into the soothing dimensions of your mind is
To walk the journey back to yourself
Yourself channelling sixth senses
Yourself cradling you
You mark the map
You source a plan
Plan to cusp palms with divination and
Plan to evaporate into the crowds
Crowds that pulse and beat with the heat
Crowds that hum muddled noises
Noises that jabber a jumble of voices
Noises that merge into a medley of smells
Smells of cigarette smoke and vanilla vape
Smells of candy sweets and grimy streets
Streets that breathe hustled tension and
Streets decked and stacked by people
People engrossed by their phones and
People too tired to care to look
Look up at the huge expanse of the cerulean sky
Look at the mishmash of market stalls
Stalls with crafts and coats and perfumed soaps
Stalls gleaming with the finest of flowers
Flowers that gush a kaleidoscope of tones
Flowers stoking sentiments of connection
Connection stirring spirit deeper
Connection evoking you to silence
Silence so soft you hear your soul
Silence embraces these moments
Moments awash with solace
Moments glistening in the present
Present ushers you back to your heart
Present in being in the now
Now is all you've got
Now is the time
Time to be nothing
Time to let go
Go and disappear
Go and get lost
Lost in this adventure
Lost in this city
City that lies beyond and beneath, a
City with gems carved from secret dreams
Dreams you once wore in your hair
Dreams that became tangled and torn with life
Life is lived within your senses
Life whispers Wake Up
Wake up and breathe
Wake up your soul to the now
Now
Breathe

Whoaaa, this felt so liberating! Loved it so much!
This was absolutely breathtaking, Chantal. The rhythm carried me like a current through vivid imagery, emotion, and reflection. I could feel the pulse of the city, the depth of introspection, and the gentle invitation to be present in the now. A truly masterful Blitz poem — you’ve captured both chaos and clarity so beautifully. Bravo! 🌸📝
