I hate feeling like this

so hurt and in pain

As if nothing that matters

will ever be the same

The lights gone out

of my fragile soul

The darkness has moved in

taken over control

I wish I could sleep

for a thousand years

Then wake up in heaven

where there are no tears

I wish I could fly

away from this life

Set my heart free

let my spirit take flight

I want to disappear

Into the darkest void

From the cruel hearts of man

where I can't be destroyed

Just vanish from sight

and be no more

But I have to stay

for the ones I adore
