Vanilla was my favourite.

You knew that.

Oh you knew.

•••••••••••••••••••••••••••••

You tasted it upon my lips.

You licked it off my nose.

You smelt it.

In our home.

In our cars.

On our clothes.

You watched me as I measured it.

A teaspoon.

Maybe it two?

You felt the drifting perfume mist.

I dressed right next to you.

••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••

I heard you.

“You’re vanilla!”

Ouch.

It echos even still.

••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••

Vanilla was my favourite.

You knew that.

Oh you knew.
