Valkryie

By Julie O'Hara - Author, Poet and Spiritual WarriorPublished 5 months ago 1 min read

[Verse]

She walks in quiet like a ghostly breath

Her leather boots tap stories on the wooden steps

Her guitar in hand like a sword unsheathed

The crowd doesn't know the magic she's about to weave

[Verse 2]

The strings hum low... Her voice takes flight

Each note soaring in the dim pub light

She sings of heartbreak ... She sings of dreams

Of broken things and sewn-up seams

[Chorus]

She's a valkyrie... She's a valkyrie

A magical mystical creature

Baby, Can't you see

With a voice that shakes the tallest tree

Words so big from a body so small

She makes the whole room feel it all

She's a valkyrie... She's a valkyrie

[Bridge]

The audience thinks it's just a song

Just a simple tune

But she shifts the tide

She moves the moon

Her melody's a chariot in disguise

Carrying souls where truth resides

[Chorus]

She's a valkyrie... She's a valkyrie

A magical mystical creature

Baby, Can't you see

With a voice that shakes the tallest tree

Words so big from a body so small

She makes the whole room feel it all

She's a valkyrie... She's a valkyrie
