Untying The Knot

What It's Like To Leave Your Side

Once upon a time, our knot was tight

And as solid as an anchor.

I always brought you light; you

Always calmed my sea.

Back when things made sense.

It comes in waves.

The tears break.

Now I

Breathe.

I love how the ocean imagery transitions into tears through the “it comes in waves” line. Brilliantly done!
