but one look at the shore told us it was just a back and forth.

Ironic, isn’t it? That there are signs always ignored.

It felt like we were going somewhere,

I curled my hair and dressed in black leather and lace,

while you worried over the youth of your face.

Side by side mirrors, Reflecting the rest of our lives.

I made you cum standing up that day in your dad’s shower.

Then a giant unicorn and the singing shadow flower

left to get coffee. sobriety made the night feel special.

“If she loved you do you think she would have been fucking

not in love. She’s not mysterious, and guarded and tragic

And all the things you’re thinking. Just wake the fuck up

And recognize the game that has been played on you,” she tells me.

how hard we laughed together, out there on the lake

We had one paddle and were tied together as if by fate.

It felt like we were going somewhere,
