Never gone

These are the thoughts

That stay locked away

While I hide and stay

Inside of imaginary

Worlds of words

I’m masked over with

Schedule about to topple

Over, here I am ok

Pretending Away

That didn’t hurt

I am not battered

Nor am I bruised

Those sticks and stones

They didn’t break

My emotional bones

Instead I limp onward

Trying to forget the parts

That still sting when I sing

Of our relationship

heartbreak

About the Creator

Lisa Pulliam

I love making fun of my emotions, feelings, and thoughts in short form writing such as songs and illustrations. I would like to write longer and more explorative pieces for others to read.
