I have recently watched "Heated Rivalry," and let me tell you, if you haven't, you are missing out. However, aside from this, the show brought up a question for me, multiple questions actually. The level of intimacy and love featured in the show simply burrowed into my brain and has not left me. I think about the amount of vulnerability it takes for someone to accept love the way these characters did. I eventually found myself asking questions of myself, such as "vulnerability that I am seeking, do I think I am strong enough to handle that, will I survive that devastating openness?" How destabilizing...how delicious.
I find myself making decisions I would never have thought I would, certain actions designed to help me be more myself. I find myself calming my anxiety with gentler tones. I am motivated to take care of the person I am, and above all else, I am quietly moving toward being more vulnerable. I found that the world is brighter, all because I am lowering my shields to the people around me and allowing myself to be who I am unapologetically. Without wondering if everyone is mad at me (I am taking this crazy approach called, don't assume, wait for them to tell you they are mad.)
I saw a creator, and she made a contest, the prompt "Who Do I Actually Want To Be?" I loved getting a chance to see how creative everyone is and see what she was able to motivate. A stunning prompt she gave us, and I was so happy to be a part of that! I want to thank her! Linked here for you to look into!
This motivated me to offer something back to the community as well; I will keep this prompt pretty vague as I am interested in what this brings up for you. The question is "Do I Trust Myself To Survive Being Loved This Deeply?" However, that prompt lands for you, allow it to take you, whatever way it will!
Please remember to link it in the comments, and I will add it here: the Prizes are as follows:
First Place: $10 tip and the option to be featured and interviewed on "The Shrug" Podcast (this is completely optional-however comes with some fun perks)
Second Place: $5 Tip
Third Place: $3 tip
The Contest will be over Feb 13th, and winners announced Feb 14th!
Each entry will get you a read, like, and comment at minimum.
All choices will be featured on "The Shrug" Podcast when this relaunches later this year! Example featured here:
