Like turmeric, pomegranate, and cumin,

Your scent fills the room with exotic spice

Pungent scents of our newness exhale around our discovery

Circling like a dancing nymph in your hot, brassy flesh

Ochre light seeps in, cinnamon sweat soothed by the cool, midnight air

Dainty, silver droplets fall upon the sturdy moon

Lightening flashes across our future brew

Desert orange, your cheeks flush

A mixture of clay and clover

Cabbage and okra

We long to be the same

We grope for the chance to blend

We are an experiment

Unlikely ingedients combined

By chance

love poems

Loved your use of language here :) This line was wonderful, 'Ochre light seeps in, cinnamon sweat soothed by the cool, midnight air'.
