The unconditional love Between a Dog and a Cat
A dog and a cat, an unlikely pair
Opposites in nature, but they don't seem to care
They cuddle and play, they chase and they nap
A friendship so sweet, it's hard to map
The cat with her grace, the dog with his bark
They roam around the house, exploring every nook and cranny in the dark
The cat with her curiosity, the dog with his loyalty
Together they make the perfect entity
They share their toys, their food and their bed
They never bicker, nor do they dread
The love they share is pure and true
A bond so strong, it'll see them through
And so they live, day by day
The dog and the cat, in their own special way
A reminder to us, that differences can be overcome
And in the end, it's love that will have won.

Wild Card Weekend Recap: What Happens Now?
I think I figured out why I love Wild Card Weekend so much. It's because it's the first playoff anything of the calendar year. The NFL season starts in the fall, and once upon a time, the champion was crowned either on or slightly before New Year's. The evolution of the NFL schedule has resulted in the playoffs starting just into the New Year, and currently, the final week of the season falls on the first weekend of the New Year, with Wild Card Weekend coming a week after that. So yes, chronologically, the NFL's Wild Card Weekend serves as the first playoff anything of the calendar year.
