I'm left with all your stories and big shoes to fill.

I've waited for you for 27 years, now it's too late.

I've dreamed of seeing you again for 27 years.

After 27 years I finally got the phone call about you but it was the wrong phone call.

It was supposed to be the phone call you wanted to see me- have a conversation with me.

Turns out it was a phone call to tell me you are gone- I missed you by one day.

One day can change everything; I've searched for you for 27 years and you were just right there all along.

How can I miss you by one day?

Now I get to listen to all the stories of your life; it may not be the same as you telling them but I get to know you one story at a time.

I’m sorry we didn’t find you earlier. But I am so glad we get to know you now and that we weren’t 1 day late in finding you.
