Unknown person

Unknown

unknown person:

You seen so often
Though I may never know your name
Your presence is remembered well

One encounters you so rarely
Your coming and going confusing
You're a mystery no one can explain

Your features remain unseen
A face obscured in the fog
Hiding among the distant land

From the sky you seem a tall figure
Your steps creating a loud echo
Against the silent streetscape

A ghost of a man not quite alive
A spine that stands taut in the wind
A heart of many secrets

But in the moonlight your eyes glint
They sparkle richly as they briefly glisten
Only known to you what they contain

Your hunched figure walks through the night
Your pace never wavers, never slows
You are still so much unknown

But what I will never know
Are the events that created you
Were they gentle, or harsh and cruel?

If only I could listen to you
Discover the secrets of your life
The story that lies with the unknown

A sombre and lonely figure
That appears to walk without worries
Remains forever a forgotten soul.

About the Creator

Dharu

Everything in life is writable about if you have the outgoing guts to do it, and the imagination to improvise. The worst enemy to creativity is self doubt.
