Unique (being the only one of its kind, unlike anything.)
How am I unique?
My blood is blue and turns red when hit by air.
So does every other mammal.
My skin is dark and easily penetrated.
No bullets bouncing off me, even if I were a lighter shade of humanity.
My hair is thick and coarse, hard to maintain.
Just like millions of others with locks like mine.
My mind experiences highs and lows.
But that is only natural.
So what makes me unique when even my experiences are not my own?
I could be unique because I am an undefined collective.
A collective of my joy and pain.
A collective of my lessons learned, both intentional and inflicted.
A collective of my disorders.
Physical disorders, mental disorders, social disorders.
All of this is a collective of me, a
Yet, I'm clearly not defined any of it
Not defined by my joy or pain.
Not defined by my highs or lows.
Not defined by lessons taught or inflcted.
Not defined by my order or disordres.
However, I'm uniquely defined by my state of mind being
My lack of uniqueness makes me human,
And that is uniqe enough for me.
