Uniquely Me

"Maybe I don’t see how you see."

By Kate MariePublished 6 years ago 1 min read

Maybe I don’t see how you see.

Maybe I don’t think how you think.

Maybe I don’t speak how you speak but that’s what makes me unique.

Maybe I don’t walk like you walk.

Maybe your interests don’t match mine but that should lead to you wanting to know ME right?

The different me.

The real me.

The unique me.

The brown hue of my eyes.

The brown veil on top my head.

That’s what makes me who I am.

My lingo.

My choice of words.

Who else speaks like me?

Who else can articulate the unspoken word of the broken, the damaged, the happy, the excited, the things they don’t speak of.

Isn’t that what makes me who I am?

Unique.

Uniquely ME.

Maybe I want different from you.

Maybe I feel things differently than you.

The way I dance is even different from you.

But hey, that’s what makes me unique.

My choice of music because hip hop and rap has tragically died to me.

I’ve heard I’m an old soul.

But again, that’s what makes me who I am.

Unique. Uniquely me. Uniquely KATE.

Maybe I love different.

Because I love hard.

Because I actually care when I love.

Because I actually feel when I love.

Because I actually LIVE when I love.

And don’t take this wrong.

What I mean is my love is unique.

Conjured up by the unique me. The unique Kate.

Maybe I inspire different.

But in a good way I like to think.

My embrace is even different.

I look at things different.

The good.

The bad.

Even the ugly.

I afraid of what lies around the corner.

Ignore the nasty, hasty comments.

I see the good in everything and everyone.

But that’s what makes me ME.

And nobody can be me better than me.

Because I am me.

I am beautiful.

I am strong.

I am Kate and I am unique. Uniquely ME !!!!!!!
