Unforgotten

Even though you'll try....

When you first saw me,

You immediately changed inside.

Magnetism shocked us ,

We became the moon and the tide.

*

*

Reaction based on distance.

Left our love undefined.

Would it really had been so bad,

To backstroke in each other’s mind?

*

*

Unintentional pain,

Product of mind games

I refused to let you hide behind your mask.

You refused to allow me the same.

*

*

Bold and direct touch,

It was with such intention.

Comfort never had a chance.

Overlooked by tension.

*

*

And remember when you were angry.

And my lavender oils kissed your nose.

We spoke with no words,

So, I know things no one else knows.

*

*

You thought you could trick me.

You let your ego burn us to flames.

But every time you call her.

You’ll be thinking of my name.

*

*

Married in another lifetime.

We don’t deserve what we allow to waste.

Your sour warmness down my throat

Is something you’ll never get to watch me taste.

*

*

You’ll look for me in everyone.

Never finding me again, or knowing why

I’ll always remain unforgotten.

Even though you’ll always try…..
