In shadows deep, where love once bloomed,

A sorrowed soul, with heart entombed,

Aching words, like a somber refrain,

Echo softly, in the depths of pain.

Within a room, where memories lie,

Two figures stand, with tearful eyes,

Words unsaid, linger in the air,

A final act, of love's despair.

"I wish I could forget you," they say,

A daggered plea, to find a way,

To erase the ache, the longing within,

And bid farewell to what had been.

But in those words, a bittersweet plea,

A longing, mingled with agony,

For in forgetting, they'd lose it all,

The joy, the love, the rise and fall.

Their hearts entwined, in love's embrace,

Moments cherished, time cannot erase,

Yet destiny's cruel, relentless hand,

Leads them apart, like grains of sand.

In those last words, a whispered lament,

A plea to heal, a heart's descent,

For the pain they carry, deep and true,

Is etched in memories, old and new.

Though parting comes with a heavy toll,

A piece of them forever whole,

For love, though faded, still lingers near,

In whispered sighs and a single tear.

"I wish I could forget you," they say,

As a silent farewell, drifts away,

But love, once woven, can't be undone,

Its threads are entwined, till time is done.

So let them weep, let the ache persist,

For love's imprint, they can't resist,

In memories cherished, they'll always find,

A love that lives on, beyond all time.
