"A thought, once spoken, is a lie“ (Silentium! By Fyodor Tyutchev)

A thought, once spoken, is a lie.

A plan, once made, is doomed to failure,

A dream becomes its own jailer

Unteaching other dreams to fly.

A rhyme, once found, binds the word.

A step, once taken, ends the road,

A river dries because it flowed,

A song falls silent once it’s heard.

As lips, once kissed, become just lips,

So love fulfilled forgets its magic.

It is inevitable, tragic,

A story line for books and scripts.

Like cats inside the box sometimes

We live between unfinished lines.
