From down the hall he saw her

Going from one place to another

Til that moment they locked eyes

Staring right into each other

It awakened something in them

Something so unexpected

She watched as he came towards her

Grinning from ear to ear

He had a fire in his eyes

She had butterflies in her

They were so very young

It was all quite unexpected

“You have the prettiest eyes I’ve ever seen,”

He said as she blushed

“And one day I’m going to make you mine.”

Fireworks exploded inside her

As she quickly turned away

His words were so unexpected

Years went on

And they got older

She stayed shy

While he got bolder

Wooing her again and again

Making her fall more than ever expected

And then one day

Their love came together so strong

Locked together in an embrace

That could never be wrong

Spinning and growing

In ways unexpected

She took his last name

And made him a father

As they made a new life

With their son and daughter

Making a bond that could never be broken

Formed out of something never expected
