Ive always been that girl over there.
The one that
stops,
looks,
and stares.
The one that stays across the room
Waiting for you to stop
To pay attention
But one look at you and my minds consumed
With thoughts of you one day listening
To my soul calling and screaming your name
I want you to listen
Listen to my heart running
As it tries to catch you
My tongue fumbling
As it forms words to speak to you
My breath is lost
And so are my thoughts
My panic flares and my palms start sweating
You're heading my way and
I can't get air in
Your green eyes are stuck on my brown
As our souls tether
As our hearts smile
Your voice reaches me
Strong
Silky
Beautiful
And smooth
Your voice wraps around me
And all goes still
In your eyes I'm totally consumed
You make me question if its real
Did you hear my hearts call?
Did you feel my soul cry?
Or was it fate that made you approach that day?
Fate, that made you choose to stay?
Five years later and I still wonder
If you stopped to listen
If you heard my silent scream
If you paid attention
As our hearts played a tune
Till this day you still manage to find me
Our souls still tied
Our love still in bloom.
I'll never for get the first day though
That first time I caught your eye
How my feeling of loneliness broke
And love made its way into my life.
