Under The Stars

Tangled In Moonlight

By Kelli Sheckler-AmsdenPublished 4 months ago Updated 3 months ago 1 min read

Sometimes I feel like no one else knows me

Sometimes I feel like I’m on my own

Sometimes I feel like a breeze gently blowing

Here in the darkness as I wait for the moon

You gather around me like the rippling of water

Soothing my fears and calming my soul

Pulling me to you, like the ocean, I falter

Learning to swim, I can relinquish control

I rest in your arms as you gently lift

We hide neath the clouds, drifting further away

The solace you offers to me as a gift

It’s hard to imagine what those feelings might say

Please take me away, wash my worries in moonlight

Hold me like the stars, floating around in your love

Meet me at dusk, reminding me what it feels like to

To be washed away and go dancing above

Could this be a poem of serenity? That was the feeling I got from it. Good job.
