As She Opens Her Petals for Me

Under the pressure of a flower

as she opens her petals for me

showing me the whiteness within her

intoxicating with hues of blue

and purple impregnating my mind

-----

I can taste her nectar with my eyes

those that can see without any light

An almost imperceptible kiss

traverses the distance that remains

between our past and a grounded vase

-----

The wind is kinder than usual

as the Sun leaves for the other side

The Moon, ominous in crescent form

seems to smile as if bewitched by love

I bow my head before it springs up

-----

Where have you been hiding all these years

reverberates between the long lines

looking to find more than one answer

as a truth is surely subjective

between some flowers and most lovers

-----

O borderless Cosmos any time

as the space between us only grew

Words can bring together if we read

those of fictitious reality

Fiction should always be winner-crowned

----

Dedicated to Fanny Obadia.
