Unconditional Love

A mother's Love.

By Ruthie M.Published 3 years ago 1 min read

It has been said that….

From pain,

Comes Joy

The rain,

Brings flowers

She thought of this as

The pain came

It was time for

Life to begin

But first this labor

Of LOVE

This is what she wanted,

What she needed.

It had begun with,

Belly tightening

Rising.

Then a short relief.

It went on

And on.

She lost her mind

Lost herself

And then was part of the universe

Her cells blending with,

The old and the new.

The past , the present , the future

Like billions before her.

She felt primal

And almost gave up

BUT then she

Found a strength

She did not know she had.

Then at the pinnacle of her pain,

She heard a scream,

It was her scream.

Then… a baby’s cry

When she saw his face

His eyes were knowing.

Old…. yet new

An ancient recognition

Then…

The pain was gone!

And AFTER…

There was a JOY!

So intense!

Her tears fell on bare skin

A Baptism of tears

She thought….

“Never again will I love this much”

This Joy,

My Joy,

My child,

The only true

A mother’s love for her child

An Unconditional LOVE
