Unbridled Minds: A Symphony of ADHD

Am I a lost cause as they say?

By Emilie TurnerPublished 2 years ago 1 min read

I'm useless

Don't tell me that

I can do all things

I will just remind myself

I'm unfocused and distracted

I won't be swayed when people say

I am not my ADHD

At the end of the day

I'm incapable of finishing things

I just cannot believe

I can hyperfocus on things I love

No matter what

Tasks will never get done

I do not believe

I have boundless creativity

ADHD lives in my head

Am I a lost cause as they say?

This is excellent Emilie! It flows so well both ways, but the second reading is particularly powerful, especially in the reassuring tones when speaking to their own self. “I am not my ADHD” is great as an anchor line in the middle 👏 Well done!

I was never diagnosed, but I have those symptoms...hmm, I wonder. Whatever it is i am unique for it. Embrace your whatever it is also. Listen to yourself and be free.
