UN Bully The Bully
What causes one adolescent to bully?
Let me explain so you can comprehend
I am sure we will never understand fully
We need to culture the adolescent to mend
Peer pressure, overloaded emotions
Attention craving, hostility driven
These be only a few of the notions
Adolescents only work with what is given
Frustrations climb, anxieties heighten
Coping skills are few and out of reach
These catalytic contributors begin to frighten
Compounding an overloaded mind to breach
Jealousy, rage and hormones mix
Thoughts and actions become erratic
Mental illness is the label we affix
Soon enough, numbness is automatic
In this mind numbing state emotions the trigger
For unethical outbursts of hate filled fuel
As societal views a broken down figure
This adolescent is caught in a traumatic duel
Reverse this image and groom and mentor
This adolescent has potential to change the future
If only we subtly acted to calm this centaur
By improvising our interventions like a soft dissolving suture.
My sadness extends to Welland Notre-Dame at this time.
