thunderclouds condensed in my chest indigo electric eminence heart beats a mottled rhythm, messy like my moms laughter when i tried to pronounce mauve my breath catching on the sharpness
i’ve seen translucent butterflies, perched prisms alluring innocence i am caught staring at the beauty of clear and left ruminating on empty space so sudden it cuts like glass
i refuse to die for just any assorted rainbow lay myself in a stream of sunlit gold kiss ashen half moons under my fingernails close my eyelids watch the ravens circling pupil black against this ultraviolet this violence i can feel right through the electroluminesence
