Uglier

I am uglier than you

Symmetrical as a flower,

Her autumn eyes glow hazel,

Her puckered lips like butterflies,

Her stature like an angels,

Yet I lust for her like the devil,

And I mean not to mien with a glower,

My tightened mouth like a moth,

She rejected advances several,

I have nothing that can reach her,

Not even my love for her,

Because there are those that are handsomer,

And none that are uglier

Than I, aye, it is true

I am uglier than even you,

There is no graver damsel, that alone is my laurel

She is a golden treasure, I would only make her a losel

So I leave the rose unpicked,

And the soil untampered

And myself out from her breadth

And my fire unable to be handled

And the nature by her had made her laughs full

And her glee felt genuine and beautiful

I know I’d only make her days miserable

And her beauty with me would turn her horrible
