Humans may one day be replaced- who knows?

I wish I had existed until the advent of magic,

Maybe then my fate wouldn't have been so tragic,

A fiery rock descended from the crimson sky,

To me why it happened I always wonder why?

A necromancer could have had me reborn,

Then my end wouldn't have been so forlorn,

Maybe then I would no longer be a mere mortal,

Perhaps then time would act more like a portal?

My kingdom for which I yearn still sustains like Redwoods, for I was a king,

Now in chains I am an object, a prisoner in a dead zoo, stuffed remains,a simple thing,

Spawn barely hatched, ridicule me on the domain I used to rule, now Relegated to a bore, a chore,

But time in long and who knows, eons in the future, it may once again to time for me and my brethren to roar!

I'm trying to get this into the poemasarus Rex competition, but I had a fat finger. Can the vocal team help?
