Pills are scattered but your floors are not

cherry red hardwood like I told you I

always wanted so my toes will take on

the obstacles because my mother

always said to keep them trimmed and

polished but I don’t think the blue

hue will match my pills and I was never

good at the balance beam but I

always tried I always tried I didn’t

want to quit but the pills seem to help

so I’ll pick them up one at a time and

I’ll wish the floors were cherry red

but we never had the time never enough

time to learn the backwards handsprings

but my toes look nice and I wonder

if I’ll ever find the right shade of red to

match my cheeks when you take

away hobby after hobby maybe picking

up pills could buy me some time
