Two Support Systems

One evening as I stood watching the sun setting, creating a awesome view along the mountains ranges, I saw a tall tree standing confidently, even as the darkness is approaching. The tree drew my attention. It is well nourished and healthy and have many branches and leaves.

As I stood watching the tree, I got a revelation. This tree is receiving support from above and below for it's existence. Above it, it is receiving sun light and rain through it's leaves, and below it, it is receiving nutrients and water from the soil through it's roots. It feeds from two support systems to grow, survive and thrive.

As I dwell on this new revelation, another new thought entered my mind, like an invisible teacher teaching me truth about life. The thought was: just like that tree, you need two support systems from above and below to grow and reach your full potential.

Above support system consists of God and His divine provisions such as His wisdom, strengths, knowledge, guidance, interventions, breakthroughs, miracles and so forth.

Below support system consists of your caring family, church, friends, education, government, network, colleagues, and so forth.

These revelations taught me that I can not stand tall with confidence and become the best and reach my full potential like that tree by my own, just like that tree who is supported by two support systems, I need God and His heavenly provisions as well as love and care from my family, and social networks to not only survive but also succed.

In our busy schedules, let's give few minutes or hours to nurture our relationships with God, our Source and with others who are important to us.
