Two Strangers

Emotions

By Ashley Published 4 years ago 1 min read

Across the street is a bar

A woman sits alone sipping jack and coke

A man walks in from the rain

These were two people who had never met before

She glances up, hoping

He shakes the cold off his jacket, staring at his shoes

They lock eyes as he looks up

From across a crowded room they felt it

An unwavering force, pulling

Time slows as they move together, never looking away

As they meet in the middle they smile, knowing

The bartender watched, a knowing smirk

Who can tell how long the spell would last

So even if only for the night

Two lives were changed that night, forever

heartbreak
