Two Paths

Which will you listen to?

The longing, fearful heart quivers

With ecstasy and malice

The light inside has more vigour

But the soul is always callous

-

Kindness always will prevail, no matter the situation

But why not just remove the vail, if not an obligation?

Because the heart is strong and sturdy

It’s naught but a pawn unworthy

Keep calm and think

Break out the brink

Stay up, don’t sink

Let loose, don’t shrink

Don't worry, you slipped

It’s nature’s edict.

Why do you persist?!

In the heart I exist.

-

It is difficult but you must overcome it

They can’t. They'll soon realise and plummet

Your thoughts will never flourish

For ease they’ll forever be puppets.
