One day late, it’s no big deal
So then, what is this unfamiliar sense I feel?
I’ve been late countless times before, it’s not rare
Because reliable Aunty Dottie will inevitably be there.
I followed my gut and took a test I hadn’t studied for,
The result- so undeniably positive, that I took 2 more.
For a just a moment there, time stood utterly still
The noisy complexities of my world vanished, it was the moment before the thrill.
The space of true solitude, silent feelings and quiet thoughts,
This was the precise moment where my road drops.
I walked out of the bathroom and suddenly everything looked slightly brighter,
Physically I felt heavy but mentally and emotionally, much lighter.
The gears of my world unknowingly coasting in a neural state,
With loving clarity and open eyes I’m ready to shift the gear and accelerate!
