Two By Two

On they marched

Two by

Two we

March on

What is

This new

Home we

Now live

In together

Compelled we

Are to

March on

While the

Rest of

The world

Goes down

The drain

We are

Safe and

Secure that

Is for

Sure we

Now know

Here comes

The storm

This is

The first

Ever we

Have known

Huddled together

We listen

To the

Winds that

Keep on

Blowing fast

We were

The first

To be

Sea sick

Will this

Journey ever

Come to

An end

And then

It did

And out

We marched

Two by

Two we

Walked slowly

Through the

New grass

And new

Fields with

Fresh food

Land ho

Sweet sweet

Land ho

This is like a cozy adventure wrapped in a journey of hope! The “two by two” keeps things moving, and I can totally picture the relief of that “land ho!” moment.
