You tore open my eyes
Exposing intention
My flesh and your soul ignited as one
Gently you tended the flame that was started
Turned on the music and our dance had begun
We step in time, like you’re my reflection
You have all of me, please, don’t ever let go

Turned on the music and our dance had begun, isn't that how all love affairs start, - finishing is the trick. Well Done Kelli!!
Well-wrought! Do we only separate to rejoice in uniting? Not my original sentiment, mind you, but a question which always arises in the advent of both love and heartbreak, and spurred in my mind by your love-ly poem here!
These are two nice lines: "My flesh and your soul ignited as one Gently, you tended the flame that was started" Like starting a fire and putting wood in it to keep it going.
Beautiful piece, well done.
I once had a young woman tell me, "We walk well together." I answered, "I work hard at it," rather than, "We do, don't we." I'm an idiot.
The mirror image lends great effect to the lovely words here, Kelli!
Such a yearning and beautiful piece! Well done, Kelli!
Smooth, intimate, and flowing like a perfectly synced dance—this one’s got all the warmth and connection of a love that just fits. A little fiery, a little tender, and all kinds of lovely!
Really beautiful, Kelli
When you find The One this is what you want. Good job.
