There is no color in her vision anymore.

She closes her eyes and deeply inhales,

searching for clarity in the fresh air.

Behind her closed eyes,

darkness begins to swirl into translucent colors of red and violet.

She slowly exhales,

expelling the shadow that is dimming her light.

She intently opens her eyes,

but everything around her is still black and white.

The feeling of defeat begins to engulf her.

She craves to feel the warmth of the light’s embrace,

longs to see each spectrum of color vividly.

Lost in a maze of thought,

a warm sensation flows up her spine.

It was almost electric.

The sensation intensifies,

She turns around slowly and with a gasp,

She whispers, "There it is!"

The magnificent golden light of the sun,

beaming with a light so bright that it set her soul on fire.
