Twilight tears

Overcoming the difficulty of breathing

I know you.

Lost in a land of daytime twilight,

navigating impossible shapes,

forever halfway between where you were

and where you want to be.

And like running under water,

there is nothing in your way except time.

Rip away from the tide.

Show them how hard you can push.

It will never be enough,

but it wasn't ever meant to be.

No one moves a mountain alone.

But together we can shape a new horizon

and heal the tears inside our hearts.

So kick against the stream with me to the surface.

How can you hear the truth

with the weight of the ocean in your ears?

Breach the illusion of unreachable heights,

let the ocean you carry inside your eyes

wash away the dust of barren paths past.

And free now from the familiarity of failure,

far from the burden of broken dreams:

breathe.
