Twilight Lip Balm
Lemon light dreams
Girl
I’m chilly, cold
Breezy
That’s not bad
I love the cold
But today I was sitting in heat
And felt cold
And I thought of your lemon balm
And it gave me hope
***
You are my muse
You didn’t want it out in the open,
Or your name on my words
Lemons always grow upward, to melt with the sun
Our words live together in those places, in looming,
weaving grass, and
At the mid points of a snow dredged mountain and a view that grounds your heart and your soul.
But they do not live in the clouds, not in view.
***
You love another,
We both love another,
I felt it was true,
That even though we love others,
We carry a love
That is more than words
Like the Edgar Allan Poe
Poem I love, it reminded me of you
Annabelle Lee, betwixt
Our passion like a Boulder.
****
I still feel it,
No matter where or who
Or what happens
Lemon balm is on my paper
On my character’s minds
In my poetry
A single piece of you
In this immortal
Twilight Lip Balm
***
Baby,
I’m
Chilly
That’s okay,
I like the cold,
I just wanted everyone to know
Lemon balm was the reason why.
