Suddenly fresh turquoise rivers burst into sight
Shattering concrete-coloured walls of ancient cement
The sediment flying off into multicoloured universes made of intent
And now over there on the deep blue sea’s horizon
A broken off piece floats, ship abandoned
Bobbing symbol of the old dusty orange desert my feet used to stand in
For these stormy streams move up new forest green mountains
Creating rich soil for the soul tree fountains to reach taller
Pulling me into a new order of understanding
That I might grow without boarders
And yes
A disapproving glance may be given for not choosing the well trodden stable and 'flawless'
But tomorrow’s accepted step forward was yesterday’s lawless
And recklessly dull, rainbow grey and aweless
Life would be without welcoming these fresh turquoise new waters.
