Choosing Joy is like a game of tug-of-war
Negative thoughts are strong as hell
It pulls you to the other side where darkness prevails
On the dark side there's tears of sorrow
On the bright side there are happy tears
On the dark side there is nothing but fear
On the bright side there is hope for tomorrow
It not easy, but ever day you got to put up one hell of a fight
Control your thoughts
Thinking positive keep you out the dark
Don't give in, just choose joy again and again
It will be worth it in the end

The whole poem is superb, but the last two lines "Don't give in, just choose joy again and again It will be worth it in the end" Perfection at it's finest!
The lines starting with ‘on’ really gives that effect of tug and pull. You’ve chosen the most effective way to convey such a complex state of being. I am with you on this one, we have to choose joy again and again. Never getting tired of doing it, because there’s reward in it. Well done, this was a lovely piece, helpful in every letter and in every meaning of each line. 👏🏽👌🏽♥️🤗
Beautiful ♥️
So true, and so powerful...
Love how you broke it down so clearly – the constant battle between darkness and light in our minds.
