Tug of Love

this is us; this is many.

By Trip L.Published 3 years ago 1 min read

he was kind, in my mind.

his lips, sweet.

we felt such heat.

then he lied.

it broke me.

I had to try to fix this mind,

this hurt soul.

it cut me down, this pain.

true love, was my true gain.

then we fell out.

so here, I lie and pout.

he says he is sorry,

that he does mean it.

my lips turn down, my eyes low.

I had to put my chin in a rope,

to look up, up, up.

stop, smile.

I have to give some hope.

give time, give an ear.

it'll be okay, love.

it's been a year.

that yell, that talk.

made us hear.

At last look,

he is mine.

I am his.
