Truth

I have only so much to give this world,

Smiles, hopeful words, honesty.

I try to give the best of myself.

Speak of and protect those things I hold true.

Even from a place of loss, of grief.

Even within death I speak without deceit.

Even in sadness I solemnly honor the truth

for truth, although sometimes painful

comforts, informs and teaches me lessons

I must learn to grow.

Truth is a beautiful teacher.
