Trust is a powerful thing
but also fragile
It can be broken and strangled
Not always by our own design - but sometimes
-
Should I trust?
Even when its hard
Even when I’m scared
Even when I’m full of doubt
-
Maybe I can build higher walls
Or run away to the caverns in my mind
I can try holding the leftover pieces of my shattered trust tighter
-
Or… maybe I can just be still
With Love and Care
And let trust come like falling summer rain
To water
To grow
And replenish the places drained by unease and uncertainty
