True Colors Weep Unerrngly

Photos of Life

By Deborah DabbsPublished 5 years ago 1 min read

Pale and wispy

charcoal clouds sweep away the

cerulean blue

at day’s end As bright sun yellow-dazzles

heralding this day’s demise

We’re given a boon

Purples and greens and unicorn wings

Chase pale golds and taupe

with golden oodles of hope

While gray captures moon-white

and night black skin

contrasting the lack of saturation

Then morning comes… creeping

in with orange in the wind

As shades of red flash violet

and day begins to dance

again… coloring my place

in the world with a shell

pink blend of variegated, unfixed, just a riot of zen

where soothing pale brown and woman’s-skin awash

with identity, anonymity, definition, and cold-clear

mystery calls...

telling its own story

Singing its own song.
