True Colors

Is it possible for me to see me?

The true me that I want them to see

Or…Do I see what I want to see?

A dab more here and a bit more there

All in the effort to accentuate my flowing locks of auburn hair

Like Picasso’s palette mine is as diverse

So many colors to choose from...yet only one is the right choice

Small changes in color - Which one is better?

Looking at myself with my eyes is all that matters

Others may say it isn’t for me

But...is the me they see...truly ME!
