.......................................................
Triboluminescence is a phenomenon in which light is generated when a material is mechanically pulled apart, ripped, scratched, crushed, or rubbed.
Fractoluminescence. Fractoluminescence is often used as a synonym for triboluminescence. It is the emission of light from the fracture (rather than rubbing) of a crystal, but fracturing often occurs with rubbing.

Such big words with a wallop of a punch. Great to learn new words, esp informative ones like these. Tiffy is right, we could be twins.
Beautiful and informative ♥︎
Whoaaaa Antoni, you blew my mind all the way to Antarctica with this!
you are absolutely right, well written piece👌
This is fascinating, and educational. Well done.
This was a fascinating group of haikus, evoking such vivid imagery. Well done.
I use to collect crystals so this was a delightful read, especially to learn about what happens when a material is mechanically stressed. It creates such beauty to behold. I even went as far as watching a video to see it all happen. Thank you. Oh and I had to clear my throat at the last bit where you explained that Fractoluminescence is the synonym for triboluminescence… my poor dirty little mind 🤦♀️ forgive me 🙏
Fabulous work! Are you an Aquarian by chance? You remind me of a few special ones that I know. ☺️
